Indore TCS Infosys : IT sector would generate one lakh jobs in coming five years in the state.




Talking to mediapersons on Friday, the minister said that this sector would offer huge potential in terms of direct and indirect employment.


Regarding commencement of operations by IT majors like TCS and Infosys, the minister said that both the IT giants were likely to commence operations within two to three years.


Vijayvergiya confirmed that the US based IT major Collabera had evinced interest in establishing base in Indore. “The company has demanded five acre land and two-three places have been identified for the purpose,” said the minister adding that company’s representatives would visit the city shortly.


Asked about the estimated demand of land for the coming global investors’ summit due to take place in October, the minister said though he could not offer any exact amount but said that sufficient land was available on the proposed Delhi-Mumbai Industrial Corridor passing through the state. He added that efforts would be made to acquire land on DMIC within six months.


The minister said that in the next five years, the stress would be on developing new horticulture clusters across the state.
