As many as 126 companies visited the Indian Institute of Management (IIM), Indore for final placements for the PGP batch of 2010-12. According to the placement team of IIM Indore, out of a total batch of 443 students, the institute is still 'supporting' nine PGP candidates in finding jobs. These students "are exploring the optimal match from the markets to suit their abilities". In addition, three candidates who had been placed during the placement process, chose to decline the offers and start up on their own.
The average domestic salary offered across functions was Rs 13.3 lakh. The top five companies in terms of the number of offers were Cognizant Business Consulting, Tata Consultancy Services, Deloitte, Mindtree Consulting and Bharat Petroleum.
